Welcome graphic

Welcome to my online portfolio, I hope that you enjoy the photos that I have published here. This website is under continuous construction as I continue to add and revise images to reflect the growing areas of my work so please visit frequently as every couple of weeks I hope to have added a few more images.

The Update – 20.02.05

Sections most recently added to: Black and White

It has been a very inactive few months of photography for me, having been looking for and then commencing full time employment has not left very much time for wandering and looking for the perfect shots. However, I have certainly not ceased completely and have several pictures that will be updated over the next month.

Winter has been a particularly barren period for taking photographs, I had been hoping for some good snow-covered landscapes although I have not been so lucky, yet! I have recently developed a black and white ISO200 film, where I had been attempting some portraiture with the help of my mother as the model, although due to camera shake (always use a tripod!) most of them were ruined. But with that in mind hopefully the next set of ISO200s should come out nicely.

Spring is approaching quickly, which can always be a great time for colours as well as wildlife activity, hopefully if I manage to get to Stafford in time I should be able to get some good shots of Reindeer activity. I am still attempting some portraiture so hopefully some decent shots should be coming online before too many months pass!

Statement of collected work

The images on this website have all been taken with a Canon EOS 3000N 35mm Camera; I have yet to convert to the digital age although with a lot of the books that I have read digital still has a long way to come to match the versatility of 35mm SLR cameras. These pictures have all been taken using ISO400 film; the black and white photographs were taken using specialist black and white film. All these images are scans of 6x4 prints, though I have also printed them as 12x8 and 10x8.

I prefer to work using the bare minimum of equipment, as often these images have been taken on a whim when I have happened to spot something and want to capture it quickly. Usually I use either a 28-90mm or an 80-200mm zoom lense with a small number of filters.

I hope that you liked these photos, as always I would love feedback if you liked or disliked any in particular. If you want to contact me about these photos please don’t hesitate to email me at phalonia@yahoo.com.
